New Novel Update

I finally got to 5291 words on my work in progress. It's very slowly coming along. Slower than I would like it but I want to take my time and have this story go the way I want it. For some reason, every time I start a story, by the ending it's something way different. I wanted the story to go one way and then I changed it without knowing it. That's hard editing work. I don't have a lot of time between working and school to work on it much. I got one year left in school left but I'm ready to get this writing show on the road.

What I want to be when I grow up take 1 million

Every time I see something on tv, I want to become it. I saw a flight attendant movie and wanted to do that. I see all these famous people and I want to act or get into music. The latest is roller derby. I can't tell if this is me having another bipolar moment but I really want to get a league started around my town. It's not completely off the wall since I've skated since I was about seven and was even on the speed team. I'm pretty good and I only stopped because I got pregnant. This all came about after watching the 2006 show Rollergirls. (Yes, I'm late to the show). I also want to do something with music but I'm not sure. There is just so much I want to do, I can't make up my mind!

My Paranormal Adventures

So, I decided to write a novel about a topic I never thought I would write about. I'm now working on a young adult novel that has vampires and aliens! Sounds funky but it's working out great. I know I always say that but I do love everything I write. There is times I read older stuff, and I'm like, "Did I really write that?" I can see myself growing as a writer and I can see how much my style has changed and still changing. I'm having fun with this book and I'm at the point where things really start to take off, and from there the story is all twist and turns!

My life Happenings

It's been several months since I last updated post. As I last said I'm back in the query go round. I had two request. One was a rejection and nothing on the other yet. My husband joined a band and they've already split up. I was really excited and busy with that. The good thing is he found a really good friend in the guitar player. I also gained a new friend.
I got a job at the local pizza shop and it feels good to be working and making friends again. Making my own money is great.
I just turned 28 on March 21, then my 4 year old and 10 year old have birthday's over the next two months. I'm excited to have money to do whatever they want.
I found my long lost father on facebook (Thank u facebook) and we are talking a little. It's been a long time and I want a relationship with me but he seems reluctant. I can't force the man but it's good to see what he looks like.
I haven't written much of anything new. I've got a few stories in the beginning stages but I need to sell what I got. Or try too!

Back on the Bandwagon

Well...after sending out tons of queries I have some news. I, of course, had the rejections but I also got a partial and a full request so far! I've never had two out at one time and that's pretty darn cool. I don't sit here thinking about them either. If it happens then it does but I don't want to be upset either. I just send them out and work on other things. I don't make it a big deal because it hurts when the rejection comes. Anyway, just wanted to update everyone.

Finally submitting again

I haven't sent out a query in a few months and I finally got on the ball. I started with re-editing my historical novel. That seemed to take forever and I was quite surprised at all the mistakes I found. My computer also got a virus that erased all my stories on the computer and when I saved them on a thumb drive. I had to do some serious damage control to rescue it. The formatting was all jacked up and that took time to get it all sorted out. Next, I changed my query letter and synopsis. I made a fresh list of agents and off I went. So far 3 rejections but whose counting?

Happy October

One of my favorite holidays is coming!! I love Halloween. My son's 8th birthday is also coming up and a few days. My babies aren't babies anymore.
On the other hand, my life has calmed down some. I'm getting my school work done and today is my last time and then break. I return on the 11th which is my son's birthday. I can't wait to have the break. I can focus on writing and pulling this crazy story together. I've for a few pages written but I'm always so busy. It's time to get started though. Any hoo, just wanted to wish everyone a happy October!
